O'Groats to Lands End, Lands End to John
O'Groats
From Lands End in the south west of England to John O'Groats in
the north east of Scotland the challenge of cycling the length of Great
Britain has been attracting cyclists for as long as there have been
cyclists to challenge.
Whether you choose to cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats – LEJOG –
or John O'Groats to Lands End – JOGLE – at least 874 miles of tarmac
will pass beneath your pedals.
Gethin Butler set the record for the Lands End to John O'Groats route
in 2001 in an amazing 44 hours, 4 minutes and 20 seconds. Most
EndtoEnders are content to take a little longer, usually around two
weeks. Regardless of how long your LEJOG or JOGLE takes, it is an
impressive achievement and we hope to be able to offer you a little
well deserved comfort at the beginning or end of your adventure.
